#GivingTuesday is about cultivating generosity. Giving comes from an attitude of gratitude … and what better day for that than Thanksgiving?
As Americans sit down to Thanksgiving dinner, many families traditionally share what they’re thankful for. As part of the Save the Children family, I’ve been lucky to see thankfulness in the faces of the families we work with here in the United States and around the world.
parents who are thankful for the ability to provide healthy meals for their children, girls and boys who are thankful to be learning and thriving in school and whole communities that are thankful for sustainably supporting themselves and each other.
Save the Children is grateful for every child who is fulfilling his or her potential thanks to the generosity of our supporters. I believe that when we make the world better for just one child, we take an important step toward making it better for all children.
Here are ten reasons we’re thankful this Thanksgiving–ten children from around the world and right here at home who symbolize our goal to ensure that all children have the right to survive, to thrive and to build a brighter future.
